A highly stylized baroque octave mandolin with five courses of gut strings. The courses are wide enough to facilitate fingerpicking if desired (in addition to plectrum playing).
Constructed with German Spruce, Pear, Ebony and Olive woods with painted bowl, neck and fingerboard/bridge details and a varnish finish. The suspended sound hole decoration has been carved in pearwood and painted and includes a glass pearl. Nylgut strings and tied frets.
Light oil varnish finish to the soundboard.
460 mm scale length with six courses tuned to BB ee aa dd gg at standard concert pitch.
